Cellular Data Not Working After iOS 12 Update [Solved]


My iPhone Cellular Data not working after upgrade to iOS 12. It had happened to me many times. It was really frustrating. One of my friends told me some solutions to fix this problem. Then I tried those solutions and after that, there is no problem yet. Cellular data works normally. I am happy about that. Solution 1: Confirm that Cellular Data is On
Once you check whether your cellular data is on or off. To check,

  1. Open “Settings”.
  2. Tap “Cellular” data.
  3. Check here whether cellular data is on or off.

Solution 2: Hard Reset Your iPhone
iPhone 6 and earlier
Press and hold the Home Button and Power Button (Sleep/Wake) until the Apple Logo Appears.
iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
Press and hold the Side Button and Volume Down Button until the Apple Logo appears.
iPhone 8, 8 Plus, & X

  1. Press the Volume Up Button and release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down Button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.

Note: Don’t press “Volume Up” and “Volume Down” at the same time.
Solution 3: Enable and Disable Airplane Mode

  1. Open “Settings” .
  2. Turn on “Airplane” mode. Wait for few seconds. After that turn off it.
  3. Another way to turn on it is open control center and turn on Airplane Mode and turn it off.

Solution 4: Remove and Insert your SIM Card
This method may solve your problem. You just remove the SIM card from your phone and reinsert it again. Then check the mobile data.
Solution 5: Reset Network Settings

  1. Launch “Settings”->“General”->“Reset”.
  2. Tap “Reset Network Settings”.
  3. Tap “Reset Network Settings” in the pop-up box.

This action will delete all Wi-Fi passwords, APN and VPN settings of the iPhone.
Solution 6: Reset All Settings

  1. Launch “Settings”->“General”->“Reset”.
  2. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  3. Enter your Restrictions Passcode.
  4. Tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box.
  5. Again tap “Reset All Settings” to confirm.

Solution 7: Update Carrier Settings

  1. First, you have to connect your device to cellular data or Wi-Fi.
  2. Open “Settings” -> “General” -> “About”.
  3. Here, you can see an update, you just update it.

Solution 8: Restore your phone in DFU/Recovery Mode
Before doing it make sure that you took a Back Up. because this action will erase all data on your phone.

  1. Connect your iPhone X via Lightning (USB) cable to the Mac or PC.
  2. Open iTunes on your PC or MAC. Make sure that iTunes is upgraded to latest version.
  3. Press Volume Up button and quickly release it. And then Press Volume Down button and quickly release it.
  4. At last, press and hold the Slide button (Wake/Sleep button).
  5. Don’t leave it after seeing Apple logo appears.
  6. Keep holding until the recovery mode screen appears. A box will open with three option. Choose “Restore” or “Update”. Wait until the process is finished.
  7. Then restart your device force.
