Automatic Updates is Not Working on My iPhone? Here’s the Fix

Fix 1: Check whether Automatic Updates is Enabled or Not

  1. Launch “Settings”.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Choose “Software Update”.
  4. Here you will see “Automatic Updates”.
  5. Enable it if this option is disabled.

Fix 2: Connect your iPhone to Charger

  1. Your iPhone won’t charge when it isn’t charging.
  2. Make sure your iPhone is charging.
  3. If it is not charging, connect to power source.

Fix 3: Sign Out and Sign in Apple ID
For Sign Out,

  1. Launch “Settings”.
  2. Tap “Apple ID”.
  3. Scroll down to find “Sign Out” and tap it.
  4. Enter Apple Id password and tap “Turn Off”.
  5. Tap “Sign Out”.
  6. Tap “Sign Out” again to confirm that you want to sign out of iCloud.

For Sign In,

  1. Launch “Settings”.
  2. Tap “Sign in” on your device.
  3. Enter your Apple ID and Password.
  4. Tap “Sign in”.

Fix 4: Update payment & Shipping details for your Apple ID

  1. Open “Settings”.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Find “Payment and Shipping”.
  4. Edit your payment method or shipping address.

Fix 5: Erase all content and settings on your iPhone

  1. Open “Settings”.
  2. Tap “General”.
  3. Find “Reset” and tap it.
  4. Tap “Erase All Content and Settings”.
  5. Tap “Erase iPhone”.
  6. Tap “Erase iPhone” again to confirm.
  7. Enter your passcode.
