Fixed : Apple Wireless Keyboard Won't Turn On

Sometimes Apple Wireless Keyboard will not start-up and cannot pair with Mac devices even after changing many batteries.
Try the below solutions to resolve the issue.
How to start the Apple Wireless Keyboard
Solution 1: Using a gum wrapper

  1. Open the battery compartment and remove the batteries.
  2. Split the thin foil off the gum wrapper’s paper.
  3. Tear off a piece about the half area.
  4. Drop the foil wad into the battery compartment.
  5. Place the battery pointing to the right direction.
  6. Install the batteries and power up.

If the battery didn’t start up on the first try, try for two or three times to get the foil was to fall in right place.
Solution 2: Add magical ball of Aluminium foil
Placing a piece of Aluminum foil into the battery compartment resolves the issue.

  1. Cut a 1 inch square piece of Aluminium foil.
  2. Rolled it into a ball shape and drop it into the tube.
  3. Put the batteries into the battery compartment.

Solution 3: Use a small screwdriver
The acid gets deposited from older batteries on the positive contact surface of the Keyboard and prevents the battery from working. To resolve this

  1. Add a small screwdriver and scratch the contact.
  2. Place the batteries back and batteries get started.

Solution 4: Use a staple pin
Add a small bit of paper clip or staple pin in between the battery and one of the plus contact in the battery compartment. Sometimes doing this helps the battery to start-up without any issue.
Solution 5: Insert a steel wool
Put a small amount of steel wool inside first, and then add the three AA batteries and it will work well.
Solution 6: Pair Keyboard with computer

  1. Disconnect all USB devices connected to Computer.
  2. Turn off the Computer and Keyboard.
  3. Turn on the Computer and place the batteries.
  4. A computer will try to find the Keyboard.
  5. Choose the Keyboard and click on Continue.
  6. Complete the pairing process of Keyboard.

If the above-mentioned solutions didn’t work, take your Keyboard to the nearest Apple Store or buy a new battery for the Keyboard.
