Apple Watch Series 3 Battery Draining Fast? Here’s the fix

Many Apple users have a complaint that their Apple Watch 3 battery dying so fast. Here I am going to tell you the solutions to fix this issue. If you have the same problem, this article will help you to solve it.
Before trying these solutions, restart your iPhone and Apple Watch.
Solution 1: Update your iPhone and Apple Watch
To update your iPhone,

  1. Connect your phone to Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.
  2. Go to Settings->General->Software Update.
  3. Tap “Download and Install” if update is available.

To update your Apple Watch,
Update your Apple Watch after updating your iPhone.

  1. Connect your Apple Watch to power. Make sure that your Apple Watch has at least 50% charge. Don’t disconnect your Apple Watch from power while updating.
  2. Connect your phone to Wi-Fi.
  3. Keep your Apple watch next to iPhone.
  4. Open Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  5. Tap My Watch tab->General->Software Update.
  6. Tap “Download and Install” if update is available.
  7. Enter your passcode if required.
  8. Click “Agree” to agree the Terms and Conditions.

Solution 2: Enable “Power Saving Mode”
Turning on Power Saving Mode will turn off the heart rate sensor. If heart rate sensor is turned off, Apple Watch won’t calculate calories accurately during workouts.

  1. Launch Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Select My Watch tab->Workout.
  3. Enable “Power Saving Mode”.

Solution 3: Disable “Wake Screen on Wrist Raise”

  1. Launch Settings on your Apple Watch.
  2. Tap General->Wake screen.
  3. Turn off “Wake Screen on Wrist Raise”.
  4. To turn on display, just press the Digital Crown or tap the display.

Solution 4: Force close apps
Close the apps that are running in the Background on your Apple Watch.

  1. Press the Side Button on your Apple watch to see recently closed apps.
  2. Swipe the app from right to left.
  3. Tap “Remove”.
  4. likewise, remove all apps.

Solution 5: Enable Bluetooth on iPhone
Turning off Bluetooth on iPhone will make the battery drain on your Apple Watch. So enable Bluetooth on iPhone to increase the battery life on Apple Watch.

  1. Launch Settings->Bluetooth.
  2. Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on.

Solution 6: Turn off Background App Refresh

  1. Open Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General->Background App Refresh.
  3. Turn off “Background App Refresh”.

Solution 7: Enable “Reduce Motion”

  1. On your Apple Watch, open Settings->General->Accessibility.
  2. Tap “Reduce Motion”.
  3. Turn on “Reduce Motion”.

Solution 8: Unpair, restart, and repair your Apple Watch
Unpairing your Apple watch is the same as restore your Watch to Factory Settings. When you unpair your Apple Watch, the iPhone will automatically take a backup of your watch.
Before unpair your Apple Watch, connect it to cellular plan.

  1. Make sure that the distance between your Apple Watch and iPhone is not too far. Keep them as close as possible.
  2. Launch Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  3. Tap My Watch tab.
  4. Tap your Apple Watch when it shows on top of the screen.
  5. Tap the info symbol that is next to your watch to unpair it from your iPhone.
  6. Tap “Unpair Apple Watch”.
  7. Restart your Apple Watch.
  8. Then repair your Apple Watch with iPhone.

Other solution:

  1. Use Bluetooth chest strap instead of built-in heart rate sensor.
  2. Disable unnecessary push notifications.
  3. Make an Apple genius bar appointment.
