Apple Music No Sound When Screen Recording on iPhone XS and XS Max

When I was trying to screen record while apple music has played, it didn’t record the Music. I couldn’t get voice from the video. It was really frustrating to me. Solution 1: Restart your iPhone

  1. Press the power button and either the volume up or down button until getting a slider.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your device.
  3. To turn on your device, press and hold the power button until seeing an Apple logo.

Solution 2: Turn on Microphone Audio for Screen Recording

Before starting the screen recording, make sure that the audio is turned on. Then only the video will be recorded with sound. Otherwise, your phone will only record the video without sound.

Turn on Microphone Audio

  1. Hold down the Screen Recording icon in the Control Center.
  2. There you can see whether Microphone Audio is turned on or not. Tap the Microphone icon to turn on the Microphone audio.
  3. If Microphone Audio is turned on, the icon will be in red color.
  4. Then tap “Start Recording” to record the screen and check whether the audio working or not.

Solution 3: Check for Software Update

  1. Connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi or Cellular Data.
  2. Now, go to Settings -> General -> Software Update.
  3. Tap “Download and Install” if an update is available.

Solution 4: Force Restart

  1. Press the Volume Up button and release it.
  2. Then press the Volume Down button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side button until the Apple Logo appears.

Solution 5: Force close the Music app and Reopen

  1. Swipe up the screen from the bottom left corner to the middle of the screen.
  2. When you will get the closed apps, leave your fingers from the screen.
  3. Either you can hold the app until seeing the Minus symbol
  4. And tap on it to close the app or swipe up the app to close.

Solution 6: Reset All Settings

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> Reset.
  2. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  3. Enter the passcode if prompted.
  4. Tap “Reset All Settings”.
  5. Again tap “Reset All Settings” in the pop-up box to confirm.

Solution 7: Restore your iPhone

  1. First, connect your iPhone to the Mac.
  2. Then open iTunes on your Mac.
  3. Click the iPhone icon at the top.
  4. Now, click the Summary tab in the left corner.
  5. A pop-up box will appear to confirm the action and tap Restore.
  6. Then iTunes will restore your iPhone.
  7. When your phone restarts, you can see a few options. You have to select “Set Up as New iPhone”.
