Apple Apps Keep Crashing in iOS 12 on iPhone and iPad


After updating to iOS 12, my iPhone apps keep crashing. Whenever I open the app, it was like crashing. It was really frustrating for me. I told this problem to one of my friends and he gave me some solution to fix this problem. After trying there was no issue on my apps. In this article, I am going to tell you how to fix apps crashing issue on your iPhone or iPad.
Solution 1: Force Restart
iPhone 6 and earlier
Press and hold the Home Button and Power Button (Sleep/Wake) until the Apple Logo Appears.
iPhone 7 & 7 Plus
Press and hold the Side Button and Volume Down Button until the Apple Logo appears.
iPhone 8, 8 Plus, & X

  1. Press the Volume Up Button and release it.
  2. Press the Volume Down Button and release it.
  3. Press and hold the Side Button until the Apple Logo appears.

Note: Don’t press “Volume Up” and “Volume Down” at the same time.
Solution 2: Update the App
This problem may be the reason for the old version of Apps. so, you have to update the app when every new version released. For that,

  1. Launch “App Store”.
  2. Click the “Updates” tab.
  3. There you can see any updates available you just update them.
  4. Finally, open the app and check it.

Solution 3: Force Close and Relaunch the App
Close the app. Then double click “Home Button” and here you can see the all closed apps. You have to swipe up the app to close. Wait for 2-3 seconds and reopen the App again.
Solution 4: Check Storage on your Devices
If your Phone has not enough space or full then the apps will be crashing. So, you have to check and if space is full, you have to delete the unwanted photos, video, and songs on your Phone. After doing this restart your Phone.
iPhone 8 and Earlier

  1. Press and hold the power button until you get a slider.
  2. To turn off your device, drag the slider.
  3. After a few seconds, again press and hold the power button until you get an Apple logo.

iPhone X

  1. Press and hold the side button until you get a slider.
  2. To turn off your device, drag the slider.
  3. Another way to restart your iPhone is open “Settings”.
  4. Tap “General”.
  5. Tap “Shut Down”. Then wait 10 to 15 seconds. After that click “side” button to turn on your iPhone.

Solution 5: Delete the Apps and Reinstall them

  1. Press and hold the app that you want to delete. Hold this until app icons wiggling and X symbol appear.
  2. Click the X symbol to delete the app.
  3. Then download and install the app from the App Store.

Solution 6: Restore your iPhone in DFU/Recovery Mode
Above given solutions not work for you, you just restore your device via iTunes. This method may solve your problem. Before doing it, backup your iPhone. Because this action may erase all data from your device.

  1. Connect your iPhone to Mac/Computer via Lightning (USB) cable.
  2. Open iTunes on PC/Computer.
  3. Make sure that iTunes is updated to the latest version.
  4. Then Force Restart your iPhone
  5. Don’t leave Buttons after seeing the Apple Logo. Keep holding it until Recovery Mode screen (iTunes screen) appears.
  6. Select “Update” or “Restore”  in the pop-up box. If you select “Update”, iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without deleting your data. Wait until the process is finished.
  7. Then Force Restart your iPhone.

Note: If it doesn’t work out, select “Restore” instead of “Update”.
