Fixed: Fingerprint Sensor/Touch ID Not Responding on MacBook Air

Usually MacBook Air users can easily login their system using Touch ID. But suddenly it asking users to enter the passcode when they try to login on their Mac. When they try to unlock their Mac using the the fingerprint sensor, it won't work. Installing updates or restarting the machine does not fix this issue.

Solutions

Solution 1: Use you bottom of the palm (Worked for most of the people)

Many people reported this method worked like a charm.

Use your bottom of the palm (where your thumb is)and allow it to touch the area beside the Macbook trackpad. Then touch the Touch ID with your index finger. 

It will unlock your MacBook Air. 

Solution 2:  Remove and Readd Finger Print

Solution 3: Use Original Charger

This problem might happened because if  you used random generic harger instead of Apple original charger. First unplug that kind of charger and try to login uisng Fingerprint sensor. Use original charger. 

Solution 4: Reset SMC

Reset Apple SMC using the Apple support guide. Then try to login into your Mac using Touch ID.
