Fixed: iPhone Voice to Text Issue on iOS 17

The iPhone voice-to-text dictation feature is not accurate after updating to iOS 17. When users try to use voice-to-text feature, It may skips entire words, cuts out the beginning of the sentences, add duplicate words or get stuck while try to insert punctuation.

Solution 1: Delete the Old Keyboard and Use the new Keyboard Based in Another Country

On your iPhone, go to Settings -> General -> Keyboard -> Keyboards. Choose "Add New Keyboard".

Select any one of the country-specific English keyboards (It does not matter which one). For example: English (Australian/New Zealand) or English (Japan).

Then, delete the broken English (US) keyboard.

Next, go back to Settings --> General --> Keyboard and disable and enable Dictation.

Now if you want to type or dictate, the iPhone will use the new keyboard which should resolve your problem.

Solution 2: Turn off the phone. Then turn it back on again

  1. Press and hold the iPhone side button until the Power-off slider appears.
  2. Drag the sider to the right. The iPhone will turn off within 30 seconds.
  3. To turn it back on, press and hold the side button again until the Apple logo appears.

Solution 3: Delete and Re-add the English (US) keyboard

Delete the keyboard you are currently using and then add the English (US) keyboard again.

Solution 4: Turn Bluetooth Off and Then back on

Open iPhone Settings app and choose "Bluetooth". Turn oit off and turn it back on.
