Jailbreak iOS 8.4 on Mac using PP Jailbreak

Chinese hackers released Mac version of PP jailbreak tool.  Learn how to jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch running under iOS 8.4 using PP jailbreak on Mac.

Important Notes:-

  • Its an untethered jailbreak.
  • It supports  iOS 8.4, iOS 8.3, iOS 8.2 and iOS  8.1.3.
  • It supports the following iOS devices.
    • iiPhone 6 & 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
    • iPad Air & Air 2, iPad 4,3, 2
    • iPad mini 3, 2 and iPad mini
    • iPod touch 5th Generation.
  • This guide is only for Mac users.
  • First backup your iOS device using iCloud or iTunes.

How to Jailbreak iOS 8.4 Mac PP Jailbreak Tool

Follow my step by step instructions to jailbreak iOS 8.4.

  1. First download latest version of PP jailbreak tool for Mac
  2. Connect your iOS device to computer using USB cable.
  3. Go to Settings -> Touch ID & Passcode  and disable passcode.
  4. Go to Settings -> iCloud -> Find my iPhone and turn off Find My iPhone.
  5. Quit XCode or iTunes if they are open as PP Jailbreak tool for Mac won’t open until they closed.
  6. Double click the PP Jailbreak dmg file. It will prompt, then move it to the Applications folder. Double click the PP Jailbreak icon to open it.
  7. PP Jailbreak app take some time to detect your iOS device. Once it detect it, it will show right firmware version. Deselect Install PP Helper checkbox (It will install Chinese pirated app store).PP Jailbreak iOS 8.4 Mac
  8. Press the Jailbreak button to start the jailbreaking process.
  9. It take some time to complete jailbreaking process. Some times it gets stuck at steps 3/8 & 5/8. Wait until the process complete.
  10. It will show Jailbreak Succeeded! message after jailbreak is completed.PP jailbreak iOS 8.4 sucess
  11. Your iPhone, iPad or iPod automatically reboot and you can see the Cydia icon on the Home screen.

Do not forget to re-enbale Find my iPhone and Passcode after successfully jailbreaking your iOS device.

jailbreak stuck at step 2/8 for a very long time?

Try to turn on AirPlane Mode and disable location services via Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services.
