iPhone Screen Turned White? Here's how to fix it


Suddenly iPhone screen turned white. No images, nothing just white. After leaving it to sleep sometimes it turned normal screen. Some users named this issue white screen of death. Sometimes iPhone screen turned white and won’t turn on after users dropped their iPhone.

Solution 1: Reset the iPhone

Press and hold the Home button and Power button at the same time until Apple logo appears.

Solution 2: Check the Zoom

Sometimes iPhone Zoom might activated with 3 fingers. use your 3 fingers at the same time to double tab on the screen or use 3 fingers find try to reduce zoom. Then go to Settings -> general and disable zoom.

Solution 3: Press several buttons at the same time

Press the home, Power and volume up/down at the same time until Apple logo appears.

Solution 4: If your iPhone screen turned white after you dropped your phone, replacing LCD screen sometimes not fix your issue. If you still get white or flickering screen after replacing LCD screen, FPC Connector (its a part which connection LCD screen and motherboard) on the iPhone mother board has been damaged.

You can replace FCP connector. But it is a hard task.

Other solutions:-

  1. Go to iPhone settings and turn off auto brightness option.
  2. Remove your iphone battery and put it back again. Turn on your iPhone and check the problem.
  3. Particular app might cause this issue. Close all apps and restart your iPhone.
  4. Sometimes this issue might happened because of the corrupted iPhone files. Restore iPhone from old backup.
  5. Issue happened because of the extreme temperature like too hot. Put you iPhone into cool place.
  6. Reinstall the firmware.
  7. Put your iPhone into DFU mode. Connect your iPhone to computer using USB cable. Press and hold the Home button and sleep buttons at the same time. After 10 seconds later release the sleep/wake button and continue to hole Home button. Hold the Home button until you see the message like “iTunes has discovered an iPhone in recovery mode, you must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes”. Now your phone in DFU mode.
