Fixed : iPhone 4S Cannot Scan for Wireless Network


Yesterday WiFi working perfectly on iPhone. But today after unlocking the iPhone, WiFi status disappear on the status bar. In iPhone WiFi settings, when users click WiFi, the little ball keeps spinning but no WiFi networks show up.

When users try to join the network manually, when they click join, it says error message like “Could not scan for wireless networks”.

Solution 1: Turn on/off Airplane mode 

  1. On your iPhone, enable Airplane mode.
  2. Turn off the iPhone : Press and hold the Home button and Power button for 6 seconds. Then swipe the “Power slider” off.
  3. Wait one minute.
  4. Turn on your iPhone and disable Airplane mode.

Now all WiFi networks should popped up on your iPhone screen. Now select the WiFi network and enjoy.

Solution 2: Reset Network Settings

On your iPhone, reset network settings via Settings -> General -> Reset ->Reset Network Settings.
