Copy and Paste without Formatting – Mac Text


In Mac OS X, if you copy and paste text from one place to another place it retains the text formatting. Its can be time consuming. But some times annoying. Particularly iff you copy and paste from a website.

You can copy and paster Text with formatting style from apps like TextEdit or Pages using Edit Menu -> Paste and match style. But it look ugly sometimes.

In some apps, you can use Shift + Option + Command + V. This keyboard keys combination will paste without formatting.

In older versions of Microsoft Office applications use Edit -> Paste Special -> Unformatted Text. In newer versions you can use Edit -> Paste and Match Formatting.
