Fix : Can't send or receive Text messages on iPhone & iPad

iPhone can receive iMessages (blue bubbles) and old regular SMS. But lot of  iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus users reported they can’t send regular SMS messages.

Some users reported they can’t receive messages or message notification. So how to fix this issue?

Before doing these steps, make sure send as SMS or MMS messaging is turned on in Settings -> Messages.

Fix 1: (Reboot your mobile)

Press and hold Home button and power button together until Apple logo appears.

Fix 2: (Disable SMS forwarding)

Go to Settings -> Messages -> Text Message Forwarding and turn of forwarding to all devices listed.

Then reboot your iPhone.

Fix 3: (Reset Network Settings)

Reset Network settings using Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.

Fix 4: (Use LTE only for data or turn off)

  1. Go to Settings -> Cellular -> LTE.
  2. Tab Data Only or turn it OFF.
  3. Then reboot your mobile.

Fix 5: (Delete old messages)

  1. Open Messages app.
  2. Tap Edit option from the top left corner.
  3. Select all unwanted messages and delete it.

Other Fixes:-

  • Go to Settings -> messages. Turn off and on iMessage.
  • Delete existing conversations.
  • Check the block list. Navigate to Settings -> Messages -> Blocked and check if the recipient’s contact is on block list.
  • Sign out both iMessages & FaceTime. Then sign back in.
  • Contact your carrier.
  • Restore your iPhone.

Since my last update can't reply to some texts. Can't download or update apps. Runs slow, trying to watch a video is a joke, constantly stops.

I have this stupid , annoying "updated in the last 3 minutes message" at the end of my text messages, that is not allowing me access my search , it only allows me to write a text….STUPID, STUPID !!
