How to Fix "Cannot Send Mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient (email address) was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying"


When iPhone or iPad users try to write a email they getting error message like “Cannot Send Mail. A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The recipient (email address) was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying”.

Fix 1:-

Go to Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Click the email account (which you trying to send mail).

Select ACCOUNT

Scroll down and choose Out Going Mail Server.

Select the Primary server at the top.

Make sure you enter all information needed (most of the people forgot to enter username and password).

Fix 2:-

Go to “Outgoing Mail Server”. Click on SMTP. Make sure both “Primary server” and “Other SMTP servers” are set for ON.

Fix 3:-

This issue mostly happened after configuring mail server.  This issue might happened because of DNS error or domain-mismatch virtual-hosting configuration error.

I have been trying to fix for 3 month, I couldn't fix I'm wondering from where this problem come from. Beside tht another user they r using their emails on phone n they don't face any issue only my email. I need help for this.

Same with me !! BigPond canceled my account due to postmaster system error spam emails sent to my account , was given NEW PASSWORD & now i CANNOT send mail !! Very frustrating hhave checked my settings , it shows aall ticks when verifying, but when I go to outbox to send again it does same thing !! CANNOT SEND MAIL

I am facing the same issue since morning. Someone had hacked my account and sent email to all my contacts. I changed my password and I am able to login, but not able to send any emails! I am able to receive the emails but they are going to Trash for some reason.
