Solutions
Solution 1: Enable the "Siri & Dictation" feature in Allowed Apps
- Go to Settings -> Screen Time.
- Choose "Content & Privacy Restrictions" in the Restrictions section.
- Choose "Allowed Apps & Features".
- Enable the "Siri & Dictation" feature.
- Now check whether the microphone icon appears or not on the keyboard.
Solution 2: Check your phone's internet connection.
The keyboard won't show the Microphone icon if your phone's internet connection is turned off. So make sure to enable mobile data or Wifi.
Solution 3: Check Dictation is turned on
- Go to Settings ->. General ->Keyboard. make sure the "Enable Dictation" option is turned on.
Solution 4: Disconnect the Bluetooth device and turn off Bluetooth
- If the Bluetooth device is connected to your iPhone, everything you say comes from a Bluetooth device. Just disconnect the device and turn off the Bluetooth.
Solution 5: Enable the "Hey Siri" option
- Go to Settings -> Siri & Search.
- Enable Listen for to "Hey Siri"
- Now go back keyboard and check the microphone icon. Test the voice-to-text typing.
